As football fans will know the transfer window has just closed and like all the top teams, we’ve taken the opportunity to strengthen our own squad. As a result we are delighted to introduce Gillian Gaffney who has just joined us as a solicitor.

Gillian was brought up in Strathmiglo but now lives in Dalgety Bay although in fact she hails originally from Dumbarton. Graduating in law from Aberdeen University, Gillian subsequently attended Dundee University where she attained the post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice before entering private practice in 2003. Having completed her traineeship in the Stirlingshire area Gillian’s initial focus was family law, including high value divorces and contentious residence and contact actions which necessitated appearances in various Sheriff courts all across Scotland.

Gillian’s role at maloco mowat parker sees her pivot into another area of interest providing her with the opportunity to concentrate on private client services, including Wills and Powers of Attorney. Gillian will continue to develop her family law expertise and so will see the firm offer these essential services to our client base or the first time since being established almost twenty years ago.

In her spare time Gillian is exercised at least twice daily by her larger than life Labrador retriever and when not spending down time with friends and family she also enjoys playing squash. A challenge match against consultant Michael Maloco is rumoured although Michael has been heard to comment that Gillian should pick on someone her own age!
